Material Girl: First Opinion

You ever have a feeling that when you buy a game cheap you expect cheap. Well this is one of the games that should be cheaper.

Story line

The main protagonist, Sakura, is trying to save money to survive and to make sure she doesn’t get kicked out of home. So she needs 15,000 yen for electricity. Days later she needs an additional 50,000 for rent. She starts off working at a bakery and then gets a job at a convenience store. She gets manhandled at both of these jobs. She also gets sexually assaulted. She eventually gets “noticed” by a tittie bar and decides to work there. Still needing more money, she realises that she can start to charge 10,000 yen a pop for sex, instead of being assaulted, at which point she starts to dwindle into promiscuity.

The Good

  • The graphics are really nice
  • Costumes look good and they allow you to activate certain scenes depending on what is worn
  • Free roam and plenty of choices that split off the story into different directions.
  • The main game play is as a top-down play style and when conversations occur it then shows proper cartoon images

The Bad

  • Japanese voicing in key sentences especially during seduction scenes
  • Japanese moaning
  • No English translations in some dialogues and some menus
  • The music is very forgettable
  • Beware of the toilets!!

The Ugly

  • The English translations are atrocious as it appears that they are doing a word-for-word translation rather than a sentence-by-sentence translations. It emphasises the fact that the Chinese have bad English. I would be very glad to do the translations for them.
    • True → Ture
    • Start → Satrt
    • Breasts → Bubbles or Bubbies
  • Trigger words: Rape

Bottom line

The steam version is censored but you can search the net to find the uncensored version
This is a good game if you don’t like doing a lot of reading. There are some good points and a lot of bad points.

Mizus Musings #1

As most knows, it's sales time cause Thanksgiving, Black Friday and all that jazz being big in America but somehow infects Australia like so rabid sales bug that we all can't help but be secretly gleeful about the option of procuring games at heavily discounted prices.
I should know, I can't help but try and get one or five games for under 5 bucks.

Since I basically with a partner who enjoys video games as much as I do and I have given him free access to my games, he helped me procure the last three games.
With that piece of info, I present the next few games I shall hopefully be posting about soon.

I also have the Ultra Sun of Pokemon that will be the possible key subject of my daily game progress musings between the PC and PS4 ones. Yes, I plan to try and update daily. Basically talk about games, progress of games and random things like gaming goals or even projects backed that is gaming based.

Expect a poorly written up first impression of Material Girl which I spent four hours today questioning myself and possibly torture the other half with it. I am now resisting the urge to go back onto the PS4 and playing more Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires but for now, working on that sweet new review.

Personal Post #8 - Why you should buy Hunie Sakura Bundle

It's been a while since I did any review or what not and I will happily blame life for draining me from wanting to do this.

So today, we are going to comment mainly on the fact that if you like the Hunie or Sakura series that you can get them from humble bundle for a cheap price of USD$10 or AUD$13.

Orrrr if you are like me, you been waiting for them all to come in a bundle and realise you have four already and then palm them off to your friends as a way to torture them with bountiful breasts upon kawaii anime girls and leave them questioning on not only why you play it  but mainly on why would you do this to them and if you really care about them
I mean, look at this list and I still have yet to install and play them and complain all about it cause I can!

So why should you get this lovely bundle?
It's a lot cheaper than buying the whole lot individually and a whole lot of action in one go. I mean, did I say that you get the two Hunie items as well? Cause you get that and do questionable things cause who doesn't love to play things that make people internally or externally question you.

So, now, I shall install the Dungeon and play that for a while and maybe, who knows, I may review it for my own amusement.

Video: Halp! How do I BioShock!?

So recently I have decided to go back to silently streaming/recording videos for my own mild amusement.

Todays video is a four part edition of me playing the remastered BioShock game that I got free off steam, due to having the originalish games previously procured on steam.

I have to admit, that the game looks nice but pretty much feels like I am playing the original game that I am rather use to, which is not a bad thing. I have yet to encounter any problems that other players have expressed while playing the game or I just don't care enough to really notice since I am rather enjoying the game, it's like walking down memory lane and that makes me rather happy as both a person and a gamer.
I am slowly gaining the courage to speak while gaming but until then, enjoy the videos and lets hope I make more to keep this up as a habit.

Real Horror Stories Ultimate Edition: A Review

Game: Real Horror Stories Ultimate Edition
Played on: Steam
Console: PC
Price: $1.99 [Steam]
Genre: Indie, Horror, Point and Click

Steam Synopsis:
Urban myths are stories that may or may not have been believed to be true. Unlike most, some are actually based on real events. One of them takes place in a haunted forest, near a cemetery, on the borders of a city, near you. Many consider this place dangerous late at night, because there are things happening that nobody know of or wants to know.

Personal Post #6

So, in my infinite wisdom and despite me saying I never play anything Hatoful again, I went and procured the holiday, remastered game of Hatoful Boyfriend.

I don't know whether it was due to sheer curiousity or sheer stupidity, I got this game on sale and shortly, I will play and give a first impressions of this game. Wish me luck cause I will be needing more than luck if it's anything like the other game of the same title.

On a side note, I shall be attempting to review and write up more things, such as the endings to a certain visual novel but until then, time to play with the pigeons again.

Until Dawn: A short review

I started this game a few days after the initial release.

From what I have played, I can form a mini post about how I think of it. despite this review sitting in draft for a while and me long finishing the game, I will still share a short initial opinion before writing out a full blown review.
